Machine condition monitoring can help your vessels stop unscheduled outages, optimize machine performance, and reduce repair time and maintenance costs. For machine diagnostics and online surveillance, our rugged condition monitoring systems can be implemented on a variety of turbines, compressors, generators, and other machineries.
Marine MCM System
Proactive MCM can be used to collect data quickly and report faults for the majority of engine components on a vessel such as bearings, crankshafts, pistons, fuel injectors, and turbocharger. Each Mariner system is tailored to an individual ship so that you can collect and analyze information with ease and without the need for specialist knowledge. The Software also enables quick and accurate data collection, easy data transfer and simple presentation of information to ship’s staff. When it’s time for Class Surveyors to inspect and survey vessels for evaluation of structural and mechanical integrity, remote monitoring and control capabilities, representation of historical data trends of the vessel gives the surveyors an advantage of avoiding frequent inspections from time to time.

It provides intelligent alarm indication and automatic fault diagnosis reporting together with easy to access trending logs and graphical analysis, making it the ideal marine condition monitoring solution.
Some of the measurement capabilities of the system include Vibration Measurements
The Fourier Transform is a signal processing tool used to identify repetitions in a data set. Since a machine rotates, its vibration signals repeat each rotation. The Fourier Transform identifies these repetitive signals and allows the maintenance team to monitor the repetitive vibration from individual mechanical components such as bearings and gears.
The Impacts from spalls or other defects in roller element bearings create “spikes” or transient impulse time series vibration measurement components in the time waveform. Envelope detection is a signal processing tool for extracting the impact time series measurement from the wide spectrum of vibration measurement data taken from the accelerometer sensor. It is a technique that is further applicable in identifying the growth in amplitude of wearing bearings, gears, and electrical motor components and in general for detecting additional impact style wears indications.
